Part 1: Topic (5 minutes)

You choose a topic and take notes on a Topic Form. Bring the Topic Form to the exam. Download a Topic Form. The Examiner will use the Topic Form to have a conversation with you.

The examiner chooses the two topics to talk about out of the following:- Festivals, Means of transport, Special Occasions, Entertainment, Music and Recent Personal Experiences.

B1 SELTS

Slough Tuition Centre is offering English language courses which leads to an approved ESOL B1 ‘Skills for Life’ qualification.

Upon completing the course you will get a UKBA approved certificate of ESOL equivalent to B1 which is a new requirement from the home office. This English course is a basic requirement for your journey to gain British Citizenship, Indefinite leave to Remain , Visa Extension and or Naturalisation.

We will start with an initial assessment to find out what your current level of English is, this is in order to identify the areas that you need to develop. Once the assessment has taken place we tailor make a study plan that works for you. This combined with our best option pricing strategy means you get the great value for your hard earned money. You will be continually assessed by your teacher throughout the course and provided with up to date progress reports. When you are ready to sit your exam you will be offered the opportunity to do so. Normally 95% of our candidates are ready to sit their ESOL Entry 3/B1 exam after 4/5 days of training. An internationally recognized certificate will be secure for your future in the UK.

All of our courses are used as one of the requirements for applicants applying for either the indefinite leave to remain, British citizenship or the A1 spouse visa.

A2 SELTS

You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at CEFR level A2 in Speaking and Listening for:

Further Leave to Remain (visa extension), required two and a half years after passing an A1 test.

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires non-EEA nationals to pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in speaking and listening at level A2 after two and a half years in the UK, in order to qualify for further leave to remain on the five-year partner or parent route to settlement.
Trinity’s GESE Grade 3 exam = CEFR A2.

GESE Grade 3 is a 7 minute one-to-one interview with an examiner. 1-2-1 speaking and listening tests with Trinity examiners will be delivered remotely via video conference. All tests will continue to take place at UKVI approved Trinity SELT centres.
